The Capital Area Urban League was established to enable African Americans, and other underserved urban residents of of Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Montgomery, and Saratoga Counties to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights. 

We  accomplish our mission through the dissemination of information to our membership and our constituencies, and by offering such programs, services, forums, focus groups, meetings, publications, and activities that align with the mission of CAUL and improve quality of life. 

We work in alliance with our constituencies, members, regional and national organizations, and public and private stakeholders to accomplish our mission.
